Scott County Meth Task Force Golf Fundraiser Helps Combats Youth Drug Use

The golf fundraiser is held at Stonebrooke Golf Club in Shakopee and is the primary source of funding for the task force.

The Scott County Meth Task Force is holding its seventh annual "Tee It Up for the Task Force" Golf Classic Fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 6.

The fundraiser is the primary source of funding for the many outreach and educational efforts of the task force. The Meth Task Force's goal is to promote a strong anti-drug message, particularly to youth and decrease the use of harmful drugs.

It is a public/private partnership dedicated to identifying, educating, preventing and controlling methamphetamine (meth) and heroin and their impact on the community. Additionally, the Meth Task Force is committed to educating and raising awareness about the impact of gateway drugs, including: illegal use of prescription drugs, marijuana use, inhalants and underage drinking.
