Shakopee 'Running-of-the-Bulls' a No-Go
While Canterbury hadn't agreed to the event, the board of directors has sunk the idea, according to CBS Minnesota.
Shakopee's Canterbury Park will not be hosting the Spanish-style running-of-the-bulls The Great Bull Run next May.
According to CBS Minnesota, Canterbury spokesman Jeff Maday said the board of directors nixed the idea after last week's incident at the Dakota County Fair where a bull escaped and injured several people.
Last week, a promotional group announced The Great Bull Run series will take place at 10 locations around the United States over the next year, including a tentative date at Canterbury for May 14, 2014.
