$125,000 Mystic Lake Mile Winner at Canterbury Park: Mister Marti Gras
Saturday's downpour of rain in Shakopee moved two races from the turf course to the park's main track.
Mister Marti Gras took the win for the $125,000 Mystic Lake Mile at Canterbury Park on Saturday, the park announced in a news release.
Robert Lothenbach from Eden Prairie owns the horse. The larger purses now available at Canterbury Park has motivated Lothenbach to return to the state.
“I like what Canterbury has done with the purses,” Lothenbach said in the release. “It makes it possible to ship here to race... I am shipping four to six horses here Monday to spend the summer.”

The races this weekend at Canterbury Park included the $100,000 Lady Canterbury Stakes. Awesome Flower won that race with Chris Landeros as the rider. Hr Ebony Princess won the $54,100 Canterbury Park Quarter Horse Derby.
