Shakopee Indians Take Second in State Baseball Tournament

The Cold Spring Springers won their eighth state title.

The Shakopee Indians did not go down without a fight in the 2013 Class B State Amateur Baseball Tournament. 

Shakopee had to win two games against the Cold Spring Springers in Monday's championship round to take first place.

In the first game, played at Delano Athletic Park, the Shakopee Indians defeated the Springers 5-1, the St. Cloud Times reported. They fell to the Springers in the second game, 8-6.

The Shakopee Indians have four state championship wins in its history, the most recent one in 2010.
