Over 40 Shakopee Runners Finish the Twin Cities Marathon

Shakopee's top finisher was Dennis Jarvis, 43, who finished the marathon in about three hours.

Shakopee was well-represented at the 2013 Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon. Forty-two locals were among the 8,849 runners who crossed finished the finish line at the state Capitol on Sunday.

Shakopee's fastest finisher was Dennis Jarvis, 43. Jarvis ran a seven minute, 24 second mile minute mile, finishing the 26.2 mile course in three hours, 13 minutes and 44 seconds. He placed 530 out of 8849 overall.
