Shakopee High Names Candidates for Homecoming Court
Coronation is scheduled for Friday at the football field, just before the big game.
Homecoming at Shakopee High will soon kick into high gear.
The school has announced those who will sit on its homecoming court. According to the Shakopee Valley News, the candidates are:
- Mariah Lattery
- Kim Phat
- Greta Schleif
- Kayla Schmidt
- Sam Verbeke
- Luke Bruss
- Noah Estabrooks
- Evan Florez
- Bennett Olupo
- Matt Zorn
The top two royals will be selected via an online vote. Balloting will close on Oct. 4.
The king and queen will be crowned on Friday, just before the football game against New Prague. The coronation will take place at the stadium at 6:15 p.m. The game begins at 7 p.m. The new king and queen will hold court at the dance the next day.Pre-sale tickets for the football game went on sale on Monday. They can be purchased in the Activities Office Monday.
