Shakopee Woman Admits Using Fake Names, Injuries to Get Pain Meds

Nicole Jones has been charged with fifth-degree drug possession in Le Sueur County.

A Shakopee woman is accused of trying to fraudulently obtain pain medication, the Le Center Leader reported Thursday.

Le Sueur County prosecutors charged 31-year-old Nicole Jones with fifth-degree drug possession charges—which carry a maximum sentence of two and a half years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Doctors told police that Jones was trying to acquire the pain medication, and she admitted that she’d used false names and fake injuries to get the drugs.

She’s set to appear in court June 18.
