Shakopee Fire Department Hosting Open House Soon

The open house will kick off Fire Prevention Week, which starts Oct. 6.

The Shakopee Fire Department will host an open house to kick off Fire Prevention Week. This year's theme is "Prevent Kitchen Fires."

The open house is an opportunity for the community to meet fire fighters, check out the fire station and to learn about fire prevention, according to the City of Shakopee

The open house is at Fire Station 1, 2700 Vierling Drive East on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Fire Prevention week is Oct. 6-12.
