Scott County Lists Air Conditioned Places to Help Residents Stay Cool

As Shakopee faces another day of hot weather, Scott County has created a list of air-conditioned places to help residents beat the heat.

From Scott County Sheriff’s Office/Emergency Management:

During this extreme period of hot weather we want to remind people to take precautions in order to prevent heat related illnesses. We are especially concerned for those residents that are without air conditioning or if your air conditioning units malfunction leaving you without a way to stay cool. 

Please see below a partial list of buildings or businesses that may be available to you if you need to get out of the heat for a short period of time. These are only suggestions and you may have other ideas or favorite places to go to cool off.

Large retailers and local churches may also be options as well as restaurants. Please remember, this list is far from being all inclusive and it is not meant as an endorsement for any establishment.
