Shakopee residents turned out en masse for this year's Julifest at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Saturday afternoon. Despite temperatures tipping 90 degrees, citizens happily sweated out an afternoon Catholic service on the church's front lawn. After singing hymns to local polka band Chuck Thiel and the Jolly Ramblers, adults and children alike migrated to the ajacent parking lot to partake in food, games and crafts. Saturday night also saw a street dance featuring musical guests Dale Dahmen and the Beats.
