This classic dive bar in downtown Shakopee has long been a favorite weekend hangout for residents and visitors. One reason is the bar's reputation for cheap drinks, such as the all-you-can-drink "Beer Train", which lasts until two kegs run out. With electronic dart games and pool tables there's plenty to stoke the competitive fires, along with special events such as a crab-racing competition.

Shakopee has other bars, but none of them can hold a candle to The Pullman. Others may be appealing to the younger crowd, and although they may be very nice places, they lack the old fashioned atmosphere of the Pullman. "Where everybody knows your name" comes to mind when thinking about the Pullman. No, I am not an employee or owner like other posts for bars, I am simply someone who grew up in Shakopee and would frequent 'The Jug" and "Arnie's Bar", "Harold's Bar", and "Babe's"...we'd always end up at The Pullman dancing to the songs of the great band, "The Rhythm Kings" after grabbing a bite to eat at "Wampach's" next door.
