Shakopee Runners Rank High in Hopkins Raspberry Run

2013 Shakopee grad Maria Hauger finished first in the women's five mile run.

Two Shakopee runners finished in the top rankings at the Hopkins Raspberry Run this weekend. 

Maria Hauger, a 2013 graduate of Shakopee High School, took first place in the women's five mile race. She finished with a time of 27:18. She ranked eleventh overall.

The second place winner, Minneapolis runner Terri Emond finished with a time of 29:24.

Shakopee resident Brian Sames finished the men's five mile race in seventh place with a time of 26:03. He also ranked seventh overall.

The first place winner of the men's five mile race was John Klecker, of Hopkins.

The Hopkins Raspberry Run started in 1964 and benefits youth running programs in the area. Full results for the 2013 races are available on Facebook.
