Great Minnesota Freeze Out Under Way

Second qualifying heat tonight.

The great Minnesota Freeze Out is under way, and it has nothing to do with our recent run of cold weather.

Canterbury Park's winter no limit hold 'em tournament got under way Saturday with the first of five qualifying heats. There are four more qualifiers to be played, starting today and running through Saturday. Twenty percent of

Twenty percent of entrants in each day's heat advance to the main event tournament on the weekend. It is also possible to buy a seat in the main event, but the price tag jumps considerably: It's $260 to get into a qualifier and $1,100 to get straight into the main event.
