Shakopee Mayor Brad Tabke and a small team threw a last-minute proposal into the fray earlier this month offering a potential site near . Shakopee city councilors voted 3-2 last week to support the idea of a stadium in Shakopee and it is the only plan that has any backing from state legislators.

The Vikings have said they prefer a site in Arden Hills for a stadium.
