Public Office 101, offered by the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the League of Minnesota Cities and the Minnesota School Board Association is an opportunity for local citizens considering running for any open public office in the upcoming election to gain a working knowledge of the local political process. Join us to learn first-hand the role and scope of these positions.

This is not intended to provide an education of all relevant issues and campaign methods. It is designed to educate and inform about the current open positions, assist in a potential candidate’s decision making process, and learn first-hand from people with experience in the process.

Persons attending Public Office 101 are not endorsed by any of the organizations involved in presenting at this event.

There is no cost to attend this workshop. RSVP’s are appreciated but not required. Please visit www.shakopee.org for additional information. Contact Angie Whitcomb, Chamber President, at (952) 445-1660 or awhitcomb@shakopee.org with any questions and to reserve your spot for the event.
