Committee Narrows Shakopee Assistant Superintendent Candidates to Three

Second interviews and tours of the high school will take place today.

After a full day of interviewing on March 15, the Shakopee School District's interview committee for assistant superintendent has narrowed down the candidates from eight to three.

Committee members selected the following finalists:

• Dr. John Bezek - Principal, Tartan High School, District 662
• Randal Smasal - Associate Superintendent of Learning, Rockwood, Mo., School District
• John Wollersheim - Principal, Rosemount High School, District 196

"The committee selected these three candidates and felt that we would be very fortunate to have any one of these leaders join our team," said Superintendent Dr. Rod Thompson.

After second interviews today, March 16, the candidates will also tour . It's likely the field will be narrowed to one by this evening. Check back for updates.
