Report: Grades 9–12 Looking Good to Shakopee School Board for High Schools

Members visited Lakeville and White Bear Lake schools, Shakopee Valley News reported.

Two high schools each with grades 9–12 seems like the vision with greatest current appeal for Shakopee school district leaders, the Shakopee Valley News reported.

That's after school board members visited two other school districts: Lakeville and White Bear Lake:

Lakeville, School Board members said, looked similar to Shakopee in terms of history and demographics. Board Member Scott Swanson said he liked the evidence that the Lakeville district communicated well with the community, including the coaches for the high school. ...

One concern with the White Bear Lake model was the difficulty of communicating between the two high schools. The school buildings are four miles apart and staff and students must sometimes transport to and from the two buildings.
