One Way Program Offered

Sixth-graders can get a free ride to Enigma Teen Center after school on Fridays starting Jan. 25.

Wondering where your sixth-grader is up to after school? The answer could be an Enigma.

Community Education, Shakopee Parks & Recreation and Palmer Bus are partnering to offer the One Way Program, starting Jan. 25.

The free program offers sixth-graders a ride from Pearson Sixth Grade Center to Enigma Teen Center at the Shakopee Community Center after school every Friday from Jan. 25 through March 8.

One Way offers a number of activities, including ice skating, dodge ball, "minute to win it" games karaoke and (sometimes) free food.

Students are expected to stay at the One Way program until at least 4 p.m., and must register in advance through community ed (not park & rec) in order to take the bus to Enigma.

Students must register with Community Ed. — 952-496-5029 — in order to take the bus to Enigma.  Space is limited.

Enigma Teen Center provides teenagers a facility in which they can socialize, try new activities and develop a sense of ownership.  Enigma is governed by a Teen Advisory Board that represents the sixth - 12th grade users of the facility.
