The Shakopee School Board has decided to approve the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as a school district-recognized club, according to this report in the Shakopee News.
The decision allows the FCA to use meeting space at the high school as well as access to high school announcements. Scott Tiedens, a health teacher at SHS, agreed to monitor and support the club.

Because it involves religion, school staff can monitor the group’s activities, but neither staff nor the school can promote the organization or encourage students to join.
