Shakopee Group In Washington D.C. for Inauguration
Thirty-nine junior high, high school students left Sunday.
A contingent from Shakopee will be attending this morning's presidential inauguration. Thirty-nine students from Shakopee East Junior High, Shakopee West Junior High and Shakopee High School, along with a trio of chaperons, left Sunday for Washington D.C.
In addition to the inauguration, the group plans to visit the Air and Space Museum, Arlington National Cemetery, Mount Vernon and as many national monuments as they can. They also plan to meet with Rep. John Kline and Sen. Al Franken.
Susan Marsh, a teacher at Shakopee West Junior High, coordinated the trip and is one of the chaperons. She coordinated a similar trip four years ago.
