Collect Your Items – Shakopee Clean Up Day is Coming

Dispose of many of the things you no longer need on Saturday, April 28 from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the city's Public Works building (400 Gorman Street).

When you do your spring cleaning, don’t forget that you can dispose of many of the things you no longer need at the City of Shakopee’s Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 28 from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Public Works building (400 Gorman Street). 

Residents of Shakopee, Louisville Township and Jackson Township can drop off a vehicle load (pick-up size or smaller) of recyclable items (brush bundles, yard waste, tires (limits apply), electronics, scrap metal, and up to two major appliances for $25.

Residents disposing of acceptable refuse that is not recyclable will be charged a flat fee based on the vehicle used for transport: $25 per car, $30 per trailer and $30 per pick-up truck. 

The following items will not be accepted: liquids, chemicals and oils; light bulbs; paints/paint cans; tree logs/stumps; landscape blocks; contractor material debris; hot tubs, bath tubs and whirlpools; and RV refrigerators.

That morning, you can also donate furniture and household items that are clean and in good condition, on the north side of the building.

will be collecting donations of unwanted furniture and household items for Bridging, Inc., which serves people in need based on qualified referrals from social service agencies and churches in the metropolitan area. All donations are tax deductible (thrift market value).
