Updated: Crash on County Road 21 Kills Shakopee Woman; Injures Child
A child was a passenger in the car and reported to have received minor injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol has released new details in its report on the crash that killed Trachanda Hamilton, 26, of Shakopee on Wednesday.
According to the report, Hamilton was driving on the ramp from eastbound Highway 101 to County Road 21 when she lost control of her car in the wet road conditions. The car, a 1992 Honda Accord, went off the road and crashed into a tree.
Earlier reports said that Hamilton was coming from northbound Highway 169.

The Star Tribune reported that Hamilton was wearing a seatbealt. The airbag also released. She died around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
A 4-year-old child passenger, Elijah Hamilton, was in the car at the time of the crash. He suffered minor injuries.
