Scott County Sheriff's Office said today that the tornado warning came last night when radar detected a possible rotation near Belle Plaine (Hwy 19 between Meridian Ave and Hickory Blvd.) The cell then moved in a diagonal path north toward Jordan to near 228th St and Delaware Ave. After the storm passed, damage was reported at some farms in the area, while trees and power lines also fell where the radar had indicated rotation.
