Medical Examiner: Missing Man Died from Drowning, Hypothermia

Eric Michael Lindquist's body was recovered Friday.

A body found Friday was, in fact, the Shakopee man who went missing, according to a Saturday Hennepin County Medical Examiner report.

Eric Michael Lindquist, 37, died from drowning and hypothermia, the examiner determined. The report—which lists the location as a half mile east of the Shakopee RV Park on the Minnesota River— ruled that the death was an accident.

Lindquist was last seen by a family member at 10:30 p.m. Monday. He is thought to have left his home on foot to go fishing on the Minnesota River via Memorial Park but never returned home.
