Shakopee motorists passing the burned trailer expressed concern over the incident.

A semi trailer hauling frozen chickens caught on fire Tuesday afternoon on Highway 169 near the Canterbury Road exit.

“It wasn’t a crash,” said Minnesota State Patrol Sergeant Kurt Mowers. “The semi trailer caught on fire and that was it.”
