Burglars Hit Two More Eden Prairie Businesses: Pick of Our Patches

Bouari Clinic and Honey Garden Restaurant showed signs similar to other burglaries that took place in mid-January.

Two more businesses were burglarized in a method similar to the way a half dozen other businesses were hit in mid-January, according to police reports.

Burglars broke into the Honey Garden Restaurant sometime between 9:30 p.m. Jan. 23 and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24. Bouari Clinic was hit at 7:50 p.m. Jan. 22.

In both cases, nothing was taken and there were signs that someone had tried to pry open the doors.

At Bouari, the exterior door was still locked and there were pry marks on the doorjamb. The front interior door was kicked in. An alarm had gone off, and nothing was disturbed inside the business.

In the Honey Garden break-in, the front glass door had been shattered but the frame around the glass was bent, suggesting that’s what caused it to shatter. The cash register drawer was open, but it was empty before the burglary.

These burglaries follow six more business break-ins that took place between Jan. 15 and Jan. 20. In all of the incidents, police found pry marks on the doors. In most cases, the burglars had left behind valuable items and took cash or nothing at all.

The city says it’s too early to say whether the break-ins are related.
