Amy Senser's Lawyer Files Appeal
Senser is currently serving a 41 month prison term at the women's prison in Shakopee.
Amy Senser was sentenced to 41 months in prison earlier this year in the hit and run death of Anousone Phanthavong in 2011.
Senser has denied knowing that she hit Phanthavong and her lawyer has filed an appeal to overturn her convictions of criminal vehicular homicide, MPR has reported.
Senser's lawyer, Eric Nelson, previously filed a notice of appeal in August. He has said that Senser did not receive a fair trial and that the presiding judge made mistakes. He contends that the convictions should be overturned or that Senser should receive a new trial.
