As a growing and changing community, Shakopee must have a strong voice representing our values and community goals on the Scott County Board of Commissioners. I am voting Deb Barber for County Commissioner and I ask you to do the same.
Deb is a small business owner and serves on our Shakopee Economic Development Advisory Committee. She understands the importance of growing jobs through focusing on economic development and infrastructure in Scott County. Deb has two young boys and is on the PTO Board of Directors at Sweeney Elementary. Deb also chairs the Scott County Human Services Resource Council and serves on the Community Health Advisory Committee. With her deep experience, she has a thorough understanding of the needs and challenges facing our county.
The Scott County Board of Commissioners has seen it’s share of turmoil and conflict over the past year due to a series of unfortunate choices and actions. If elected, Deb will work hard to restore trust and civility to the Board.
Debbie is a good friend of mine and I have had the distinct pleasure of seeing her in action. She works hard, leads efficiently and - with your vote - will be a great commissioner, focused on economic development, smart growth and effectively representing our diverse, growing community.
