Christian Writer Dies at the Age of 92: Recent Deaths, Week of May 25, 2013

Norma W. Goodoien wrote poignantly about her coming of age in the 1930s, and the role of Christianity in her life.

Norma W. Goodoien, of Burnsville, passed away May 18, 2013 at the age of 92. Goodoien was a longtime employee of the Beacon Book Store at the Evangelical Free Church's home office in Minneapolis. She was a devout Christian who found that she was best able to express her faith through words, as she does here in a passage from "His Keeping Power:"

I can not urge anyone strongly enough, who is contemplating such a marriage, to be careful to obey the Bible's instructions on this vital matter (see II Corinthians 6: 14).
