I like many people across Shakopee and Scott County watched President Obama's DNC Acceptance Speech Last Night. I am now convinced we need him now more than ever. Pres. Obama has proved to me he is one of the greatest leaders of the new century. Why Do I say That? He made decisions that were not popular at that time, but made our country better for doing it. He bailed out GM which even I had doubts of the decision at the time in 2009, but he saved 1 million car manufacturing jobs. The car industry is now expanding here at home and back on top with record sales. Another Example, He made the decision to send Navy Seal Team 6 into Pakistan when every foreign policy expert did not believe it was viable, Seal Team 6 captured and killed Osama Bin Laden. Why Do I say Pres. Obama envisions the best of America?. I always believe in the values of the American Spirit. When we as Americans are down, We do not give up and say the challenges are too impossible, We as Americans Fight Harder and Come Back Stronger. Pres. Obama believes that also. I have known if you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything. President Obama and First Lady Obama are living examples of that. Americans in its history has proven when the people believe in themselves, their community and their nation, Americans have overcame challenges worse than what we face now. It is a critical time in our history that we need all Americans to come together reguardless of political or social differences to work together to make America great again. Change is not something that comes overnight or is done by one person or one entity. Change takes time and the determination of everyone from the public sector to the private sector, and from Wall Street to Main Street. When President Ronald Regan reffered to America as" A Shining City on a Hill". President Obama wants to bring America back to that "Shining City on a Hill". I will be voting for President Obama on November 6th and I urge you not as Democrats, Republicans or Independents, but as Americans to give Pres. Obama on November 6th a second term to help continue the road "Forward" to a better tommorow for all Americans.
