Shakopee Dad Wins Contest With Hoda, But Falls Short of Hottest Dad

Thanks to his wife, "Hot Dad" Marc Patefield appeared on the NBC Today show this morning. While he was not ultimately crowned the Hottest Dad, he appeared to have a lot of fun on camera and helped Hoda win a calorie contest on ball park foods.

Rachel Patefield said she heard about a contest on NBC’s Today Show for "Hot Dads" and thought she'd send a picture of her husband. With an abundance of votes, perhaps helped by Patch fans , he was chosen in his category from 1000 entries and then chosen as one of four finalists.

The NBC Today Show flew him out on Monday (Rachel was also there and on camera for a moment)  to be on the live segment Tuesday, June 12, with Kathie Lee & Hoda. They announced the winner, an Ohio man with a 10-week-old, just before 11 a.m. The winner receives a 7-night Caribbean cruise for four people.

"No win, but it was a blast!!," Rachel Patefield tweeted to Patch after the show. "This experience has been a riot! I'm so lucky to have married (Marc)," she tweeted late last week.
