What Caused the Freak Wind Storm Last Week in Shakopee?

Was it straight-line winds, tornado, or something else?

A wind storm blew through Shakopee last Wednesday between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. The storm toppled a tree at the Donahue residence on Jade Circle, but neighboring trees were unharmed, other than a fallen branch.

So what caused the tree to fall? Was it straight-line winds, tornado, or something else? See weather enthusiast Ryan Schwartz's blog for his attempt to answer these questions.
