Showcasing the Arts in Shakopee: Weekend Planner

Beauty and the Beast at Shakopee High School and other arts events are scheduled for Shakopee this weekend.

It's a weekend for the arts in Shakopee. Here are some of the highlights for Nov. 9-11:

Minnesota Correctional Facility Art Display

Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Closed on Sunday

There are 40 pieces of art by inmates on display at the Scott County Historical Society (SCHS). The art show is open during regular musuem hours. Admission is free for SCHS members, $4 for adults, and $2 for students and children over 5.

Shakopee High School Presents Beauty and the Beast

Nov. 9 and 10 at 7 p.m.

The play will show over the next two weekends at Shakopee High School. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for students. 

Autumn Festival - an Arts and Crafts Event

Nov. 9-11

The Autumn Festivals feature artists, who travel from locations throuhgout the country to show their arts and crafts. In Shakopee, the festival started on Nov. 8 at Canterbury Park. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, and free for kids age 10 and under. Hours vary each day.
