Community Update

Meet the owner: Ed Dressen, an apparently cruel and horrible man guilty of (many consecutive) years of animal abuse and neglect. The facilities are not acceptable for any place of business, much less to harbor animals, and the conditions in which the animals are kept are filthy and inhumane. With heat indexes dangerously high this week, the animals’ survival has been at risk, as there is no air conditioning or even fans, nor fresh air circulating in the store.
I am appalled that even after dozens of reports to the local and regional police, humane societies, PETA, etc., no action has been taken to either close this “business” and rescue these INNOCENT animals that are at the mercy of this sick person, or to force him to simply comply with reasonable standards of care and treatment of these vulnerable animals. I hope that with the renewed interest and momentum building in this case, you will immediately initiate some action to remedy this disturbing situation. There is no excuse for our elected officials to allow a “business” like this to continue to operate under these circumstances.
