Skakopee Chamber's Wine Voyage Is Tonight

Many people probably wonder what NHL hockey players are doing during the lockout. The answer for one Minnesota Wild player is sampling beer and wine from five different countries.

That's the answer for tonight at least, as Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise will be among the VIPs in attendance at the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce's Wine Voyage “Sip, Sample and Socialize” event from 7-10:30 p.m. Friday at The Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake.

Zach's dad, former Minnesota North Stars captain J.P. Parise, along with singer Tim Mahoney, a former contestant on NBC's hit show The Voice, and Miss Minnesota USA 2012 Nitaya Panemalaythong will also be in attendance.

Live entertainment will be provided by local Twin Cities jazz singer Nikki Walsh.

Tickets are $40 per person in advance and $45 per person at the door. Proceeds from the event will help fund Chamber programs and events throughout the year.
