Library to Offer Free Tickets to Lure Theater Buffs to 'Blithe Spirit'

The River Valley Theatre Company's latest production opens on Oct. 25.

River Valley Theatre Company is teaming up with the Scott County Library System to promote its latest production, Noel Coward's classic English comedy "Blithe Spirit."

The library will offer complimentary admission through its new “Page and Stage” program: Participants in a book-club-style discussion will get scripts and tickets to the show. The discussion will take place on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Shakopee Public Library.

The play opens on Oct. 25. The free tickets will grant admission to the matinee show on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. The audience will be invited to afternoon tea after the show. Call the library at 952-233-9590 ext. 4 to register and make arrangements to obtain your script to read prior to attending the book club meeting. This project is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
