Car Show For Charity Benefits Wounded Warriors

The top 21 cars receive a trophy at the event, which takes place this weekend in Shakopee.

The tenth annual Top 21 Car Show for Charity event is coming again to Apple Ford Shakopee.

Owners of sports cars, muscle cars and hot rods can show off their vehicles on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost to exhibit is $5 per vehicle. Pre-registration is not required. Last year's event featured over 100 cars.

All proceeds will benefit Wounded Warriors Family Support, a program that supports "the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed in combat."

The organization is raising funds toward a $500,000 pledge to build two "smart" homes for wounded military personnel and their families.

“This is the tenth year we’ve been host to the Top 21 car show. It’s a great family event,” John McKeown, general manager at Apple Ford Shakopee is quoted in a press release. “We’re pleased to make the contribution to this special organization."

The top-voted 21 cars will receive a trophy and Apple Ford Shakopee will present a bonus Sponsor's Choice Trophy.

The Top 21 Car Show is free and also features DJ music and concessions. Apple Ford Shakopee is located at 1624 Weston Court.
