Winter Storm in Shakopee Impacts Roads

Multiple reports of hit and run crashes, vehicles in the ditch, and crashes were included in the weekend Shakopee Public Data Report.

Shakopee received 10.3 inches of snow on Sunday, according to the latest snowfall report. While Friday saw some snow, the winter storm that affected Shakopee and much of Minnesota started early Sunday morning. 

Just how slippery were the roadways near Shakopee over the weekend? The Shakopee Police Department's Public Data Report from Dec. 7 through Dec. 9 has a number road incidents including vehicles in the ditch and crashes.

Friday, Dec. 7

Hit and run crash reported on the 1600 block of East 17th Avenue.

Crash with personal injury reported on East 17th Avenue.

Six reports of vehicles in the ditch on Highway 169.

There were three reports of crashes on Hwy. 169.

Hit and run crash reported on the 1300 block of Thistle Lane.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Vehicle in ditch reported on Stagecoach Road.

Vehicle in ditch reported on County Road 14.

Crash reported on County Road 21.

Three reports of vehicles in the ditch reported on County Road 21.

December 9

Nine reports of vehicles in the ditch reported on Hwy. 169.

Crash with personal injury reported on South Dakota Street.
