Host Your Own Blog—For Free—on Shakopee Patch

Passionate about a certain hobby, or about issues in Shakopee? Have an engaging writing voice? Already a prolific blogger? These things and more would make you perfect to blog on Shakopee Patch.

Almost two years ago, Patch launched a blog platform—sort of like an open community opinion page—and in that time we've gotten some fantastic contributors filling our Local Voices section, posting entries about everything from fun places in Shakopee to have a picnick, to real estate advice, to opinions of middle schoolers on the Vikings football team.

In addition to providing locally focused news coverage for Shakopee, we're looking for even more residents to host their own blog on the Shakopee Patch site.

For the most part, anything goes, if it's legal. We want bloggers to own their blogs. In fact, Shakopee Patch doesn't own the blog content that bloggers post, meaning authors can repost their stuff on other sites. (Note that those who blog on Shakopee Patch aren't paid.)

If you're already a prolific Shakopee blogger, or are passionate about anything (education, fishing, government, business, shopping, pets—literally, anything) and have a strong voice, then you should write a blog on the Shakopee Patch site.

Please visit this page to send me a little more about yourself and your blogging interest. Or email us at Shakopee@patch.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
