The Public Policy Committee of the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting Meet the Candidates events this election season and the public is invited to attend. The event for this evening will be for the District 55 State House and District 55 State Senate race candidates and will give voters a chance to hear from each candidate before they vote in the November election. In addition, it will give voters a chance to have their voices heard.

Immediately prior to each forum there will be an open house meet and greet from 6:00-7:00pm for the candidates to meet voters, those who are helping with the event and students involved in the Kids Voting Shakopee Program. As in the past, this event will be recorded. The forum will then be re-broadcast on area public access channels throughout Scott County leading up to the election. We also hope to make it available online following the event.

Have a question for one of the candidates? We are requesting that in the weeks prior to this event, Shakopee community members email their questions for the candidates to shakopeeelections@gmail.com for consideration of use in this forum.
