You are invited to the Scott County Historical Society's Christmas Open House! Celebrate the holiday season with free admission to the museum and holiday decorated Stans House.
Take part in an ornament craft & holidayscavenger hunt with prizes. Enjoy treats & hot cocoa in the Stans house, and a bonfire & s’mores in the Stans garden. Special “white elephant” gift drawing. This is a great way for the whole family to welcome the holiday season.

More About Scott County Historical Society
The Society's facility in downtown Shakopee features the Stans History Center. It is named for Maurice H. Stans, a Shakopee native who was a philanthropist, advisor to Presidents Eisenhower and Nixon and an explorer. The museum is filled with artifacts and interactive exhibits that tell the story of the county and its people. The museum, which features the collections of the Scott County Historical Society (founded in 1969), opened in 1996.
