Ask Me Why I am voting No to The Marriage Amendement on November 6th.

This year's State Fair featured Minnesotans United for All Families, which sold buttons for $5 that said, “Ask Me Why I am Voting No”.

I bought one because I do oppose the Marriage Amendment, and here is why: Some opponents to the Marriage Amendment say it is a civil rights issue for same-sex couples. I am an opponent because I oppose government involvement in social issues. Why should the government tell you what relationship to have or what to do in your own bedroom? And why should government power be used by one group of people to shut out another group of people by creating a state constitutional amendment?

I believe the issue of marriage is best left up to the individual, not the state of Minnesota or Congress. How do you expect a group of elected bureaucrats to manage you when they cannot manage themselves and the offices of government entrusted in them by you the voter?

The issue of marriage should be left out of the hands of the state. That is why I will be voting NO on Nov. 6.

Probably because the media has finally convinced people that religion no longer has a place in our society (well, Christianity anyway) and you decided to take the easy way out. The next step will be the requirement to be gay, I guess

Josh, it is not the morons that are in the State Legislature... it is the morons that keep putting them back in office.
The question is why do Homosexual couples want to get married. Don't give me the love blah blah. What will they gain?

No I am sorry jerry, you are taking the easy way out. As a christian I was taught to love not hate. I wish more people would use their real names and stand up for what is right, I want to know who the people are out there that would limit civil liberties.
