Savage Man Charged with Helping to Sell Heroin Arrested Again

Zachary Michael Hirsch was arrested July 30 by Scott County authorities in connection with a heroin-related case.

A Savage man charged in June with helping to sell heroin out of a Burnsville hotel room was arrested on a warrant Monday for failing to comply with the terms of his pretrial release.

Zachary Michael Hirsch, 21, is charged with felony fifth-degree drug possession, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

A warrant for Hirsch’s arrest was issued July 26, and he was arrested Monday by Scott County authorities.

Hirsch and Rolando Demetrio Ruiz, 21, of Burnsville are accused of selling heroin to confidential informants for the Dakota County Drug Task Force.

The two were arrested June 11 after drug task force members watched Hirsch sell .8 grams of heroin to an informant in a car outside the unnamed Burnsville hotel, according to the complaint.
