What's Open and What's Closed on Presidents Day 2013 in Shakopee
Most retail establishments will be open Monday, but set aside your government business til Tuesday.
Presidents Day, celebrated the third Monday of February, has developed over time to honor both President George Washington (birthday Feb. 22) and Abraham Lincoln (birthday Feb. 16) in particular, and our country's presidents throughout history in general.
Considered a traditional bank holiday, you will nevertheless find many banks and most retail open for business.
What you should not count on being open includes any governmental business, including mail delivery, city offices and county services.
What’s Closed?
- All Scott County Public Libraries
- Shakopee Post Office—No mail delivery on Monday, Feb. 18
- Shakopee Public Schools have the day off.
