Shakopee Mdewakanton Invites Public to July 4th Fireworks

For the 18th consecutive year, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is sponsoring a fireworks display.

 

To celebrate the July 4th holiday, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community invites the public to a free fireworks display at 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 4.

For the 18th consecutive year, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is sponsoring a fireworks display at their Wacipi (Pow Wow) Grounds in Shakopee. The display, put on by the SMSC Public Works Department, will go on rain or shine, unless there is severe weather.

The SMSC Wacipi (Pow Wow) Grounds are located at 3212 Dakotah Parkway, just south of County Road 42 between County Road 83 and County Road 17/Marschall Road.

There will also be fireworks on Saturday, August 18, in conjunction with the SMSC Annual Wacipi.
