A 22-year-old Shakopee man broke his neighbor's nose last month after an altercation in which his neighbor told him he didn't believe he was an MMA fighter.

Apparently, anger management skills aren't on the curriculum for students of mixed martial arts.

A 22-year-old Shakopee man is facing felony assault charges for breaking the nose of a neighbor who didn't believe he was an MMA fighter, the Shakopee Valley News is reporting.

Derek Daniel Fesik asked his neighbor at Garden Lane Apartments to fight him and, when his neighbor declined, punched him twice in the face, according to the criminal complaint.

The neighbor then put Fesik in a hold and held him immobile until Fesik tapped his arm.

Fesik is listed as an amateur MMA fighter with three matches under his belt on the website mixedmartialarts.com.

Fesik is being held on $50,000 bail.
