Shakopee Finishes Trail Along County Road 18

The work on the trail was done to help prevent flooding.

After the Shakopee city council approved funds to raise the trail along County Road 18 north of Glacier Estates, the city went quickly to work.

Mayor Brad Tabke recently reported that the trail along 18 and the raising of the trail was finished.

He thanked Director of Public Works, Bruce Loney and his team for finishing so quickly and within budget.

The work was done to help prevent flooding. Installation of another aspect of the project—a water control structure—will potentially occur in 2013, the mayor noted.
