Shakopee Chamber of Commerce Plans Trip to Cuba: You are Invited

Do you want to spend some Havana nights with your Shakopee neighbors? The chamber of commerce is planning a trip to Cuba in May.

Have you wanted to spend tropical Havana nights on a sandy beach, check up on the progress of the communist experiment, enjoy a little of the healthcare that's kept Fidel alive all these year, or just smoke a Cuban cigar?

The Shakopee Chamber of Commerce is hosting a trip to Cuba for chamber members, their friends and family, and the general public.

An informational meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. April 1 in the Shakopee Chamber Board Room (1801 E County Rd 101). The trip, which is offered through a partnership with Premier World Discovery, will leave on May 24.

“An opportunity to go to Cuba does not present itself every day,” said Angie Whitcomb, President of the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce. “We wanted to provide our Chamber members and the community as a whole this chance to explore all of the unique history and island culture that Cuba has to offer, including the World Famous Tropicana Show in Havana.”

The Shakopee Chamber of Commerce explains more about the informational meeting and the trip in a press release:
