Ramps at Hwy 169/I-494 Opening Nov. 6
Also opening is a roundabout on Marth Road and a frontage road.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is planning to open at the Highway 169/I-494 interchange "new ramps, a roundabout and the frontage road south of I-494," according to a MnDOT news release.
The traffic changes will occur on Nov. 6, weather permitting, MnDOT said.
From MnDOT:
Marth Road, along with the ramp from Marth Road to eastbound I-494, will open in the evening. Also opening will be the roundabout located on Marth Road. In addition W. 78th Street/Washington Avenue south of I-494 will open and motorists will be able to cross beneath Hwy 169.
Once the road and ramp are open Highwood Drive will be closed permanently at Hwy 169, and a cul de sac will be constructed. The ramp from northbound Hwy169 to Highwood Drive will route motorists directly to the roundabout and frontage road.
Also on Nov. 6, the ramp from Washington Avenue to southbound Hwy 169, along with the ramp from eastbound I-494 to W. 78th Street/Washington Avenue, will open during this timeframe. Eastbound I-494 exit signs will identify this new ramp as Washington Avenue only.
