Authorities Say Alcohol a Factor in Truck/Boat Rollover Crash Tuesday Night
There were no injuries in the crash on Marystown Road, Scott County Sheriff's Office officials said.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a roll-over accident on Marystown Road north of West 150th Street in Louisville Township last night.
A 2001 Ford pickup truck pulling a boat, driven by an 18-year-old man from Louisville Township, was southbound on Marystown Road just north of W 150th Street just after 11 p.m. when it veered into the west ditch, according to the Sheriff's Office. The vehicle then crossed over to the east ditch where it overturned into a wetland area.
The driver was not injured and there were no passengers in the vehicle, the Sheriff's Office said. The driver was arrested on suspicion of third-degree driving while intoxicated.
Formal charges are pending. Patch does not generally name suspects until after they are criminally charged.
